History
The Nimitz was the mothership of the Star League Defense Force's Thirty-fourth Fleet Aero Wing (The Black Aces) that were assigned to the Forty-ninth Naval Flotilla in the early 2650s. It was part of the show of force the Star League sent to the Rim Worlds Republic border in early 2651 to put pressure on Tadeo Amaris and his political ambitions, who had doubled the size of the Rim World's military in a mere three months, ultimately prevailing when Amaris disbanded his extra BattleMech regiments.[1][2]
It is most noteworthy as the vessel that Duchess Katarina Mann served on before her marriage to First Lord Michael Cameron in 2659.[3]
