Captain Cox was an up and coming member of The Blooddrinkers, a pirate band based in the Rim Territories that plagued the anti-spinward Lyran Commonwealth. At some point he acquired a HMC-15 Hermit Crab which he used to great effect during the 3148 conquest of Tsarahavana. After the planetary militia proved more effective than anticipated, Cox harassed their rear while the Blooddrinker commander, David Munis, rallied his troops. After the battle he was promoted to company command, the billet having been vacated when Munis executed the previous officer for cowardice.[1]
