Brigadier General Preston Mercer was the commander of the X Hastati Sentinels, with the Republic of the Sphere, from at least 3145 to 3149.[1][2]
History
Mercer, with the X Hastati Sentinels, was based on Lipton as of 3145.[1] At this time he was working hard to improve the Tenth's morale, as despite their participation in Operation DAMNATIO, many in the unit were stricken with guilt regarding the the collapse of the Republic back behind The Wall following the Blackout.[3]
In March 3149, Mercer and the Tenth participated in Paladin Max Ergen's Operation Eruptio, including the invasion of the Draconis Combine held world of Dieron.[2]
