Richard O'Cieran was born on Hamilton in 2976. O'Cieran attended the Blackjack School of Conflict. O'Cieran learned of the many weaknesses 'Mechs had and how infantry could exploit them. As his senior project at the academy, he created a computer-simulated Jump Infantry raid on a medium 'Mech company, destroying half the 'Mechs while only taking two infantry casualties.
