Description
In 2680, the Star League requested designers to develop 'Mechs which could fly as well as function as standard 'Mechs. LexaTech responded in 2688 with the Stinger Land Air 'Mech LAM, based on the old Stinger design.
Never produced in large numbers, there were still many in service during the Succession Wars due in part because the LexaTech facility on the Draconis Combine world of Irece, the last intact LAM factory in the Inner Sphere, was able to still construct new Stinger LAMs as well as new parts. The loss of the factory to the forces of Clan Nova Cat in 3050 during the Clan Invasion sounded the death knell for Land Air 'Mech as a viable combat unit.
Armament
The standard production model uses three Magna Medium Lasers mounted on the head and arms.
Variants
The Stinger LAM STG-10 is found in the Draconis Combine, using one Magna Large Laser placed on the head and two Martell Small Lasers on the arms.
