History

The Baron-class destroyer DCS Yedo holds the distinction of being the last active Baron-class WarShip to remain in service in the Inner Sphere. One of the Baron-class vessels either presented to the other Star League member states by the Terran Hegemony in 2582 or one of the vessels to serve with the Star League Defense Force before being sold when the SLDF declared the class obsolescent in 2720, the Yedo became a part of the Draconis Combine black water navy.[1]

Though the Yedo survived the devastation of the First Succession War, it would be lost in the Second Succession War during the Eighth Battle of Hesperus. Serving as part of the Combine's naval blockade of the Lyran Commonwealth world of Hesperus II, on October 25 2853 the Yedo was stationed at the Hesperus system nadir jump point along with five other DCS WarShips when the LCS Invincible appeared without warning. Dwarfed by the ancient battlecruiser, the Combine vessels used to easily dispatching the arriving Lyrans now desperately attempted to scatter, with the Yedo and Vigilant-class corvette DCS Wyrm both vaporised by the Invincible as it proceeded towards the planet.[1][2] [3]
