Located on the planet of Huntress, the Bagera Training Facility was one of Clan Smoke Jaguar's sibko training facilities.
History[edit]
When the initial assault of Task Force Serpent came on 12 March 3060 the Seventy-seventh Solahma Cluster was defending the Bagera Training Facility. The Eleventh Lyran Guards had been assigned to take it.[1] The cadets and Kit Masters from the facility along with newly blooded warriors had joined with the Seventy-seventh to defend the base.[2]
The Lyran Guards reported being attacked by a Supernova Trinary of mixed second-line Clan 'Mechs, brand-new Inner Sphere designs, and Elementals when they first landed. It had charged them as they were still disembarking from their DropShips. The fighting was furious and at close quarters, by the time the Jaguars were pushed back fifty-one Lyran 'Mechs had been destroyed. While the Lyrans were still reeling from the first attack the base defenders sent another wave against them of 25 OmniMechs supported by Elementals. This attack overwhelmed the Lyrans Recon Company before smashing into the First Battalion. One warrior brought down the Lyran commanders own BattleMech forcing the Inner Sphere troops to retreat.[3]
As the Jaguar force regrouped to launch another assault. The Lyran commander in danger of being overrun called for fire support. In orbit around Huntress was the Fire Fang, a Whirlwind-class Destroyer. She turned on her axis and unleashed a broadside, it hit 150m off target but the effect still devastated the Jaguar force wiping out the Seventy-seventh Solahma Cluster and supporting forces. The remaining Lyrans were left with little to mop up.[4][5]
