Tai-i Barry Corman was the commander of an assault company in the Eleventh Ghost regiment during the War of 3039.[1][2]

Corman's assault company operated a mix of Highlander, King Crab, and Thug BattleMechs designed to deal with heavy Lyran Commonwealth units. During the War of 3039, however, they experienced intense fighting on Matar against the Federated Suns' First Kestrel Grenadiers while defending the tri-cities.
Corman's unit held one section of the city, while the Grenadiers advanced in an attempt to push the Eleventh Ghost out. Corman however eventually led a counteroffensive, isolating pockets of Davion troops, and performing Highlander Burials on the pinned enemies. These tactics ultimately caused the Grenadiers to withdraw from the city, as well as saving members of the Eleventh Ghost who had previously been trapped behind enemies lines, including Chu-i Kari Kakashi.
Corman was personally credited with three 'Mech kills during this action, all by Death From Above attacks.[1][2][3]
