Damon was in command of the Jade Dark Wing Cluster when it was stationed on Apollo when the world was raided by Rhonda's Irregulars in August 3051. It was he who discovered the crate of data chips accidentally left behind by the Irregulars when they moved on to the Dark Nebula. Clan scientists would use the information on the chips to piece together the Irregulars destination. Damon would then lead his Cluster in pursuit of the mercenaries.[1]
Upon reaching Camelot Command on an asteroid base in the Dark Nebula, Damon would issue a Trial of Possession for the base against the Irregulars. Rhonda Snord, commander of the Irregulars, would accept the challenge and negotiated for full control of the facility as well as laid claim to the entire Falcon Cluster and their DropShips if she won. In the ensuing battle, the Irregulars quickly defeated the Dark Wing Cluster with Rhonda Snord, in her Highlander BattleMech, personally defeating Damon in battle.[1]
