Star Commander David Pryde was a member of Ninth Talon Cluster of Clan Jade Falcon during the thirty-second century.[1][2]

Periphery[edit]
David Pryde and the Ninth Talon were involved in hunting a reported former Clan Smoke Jaguar bloodnamed warrior piloting an Ebon Jaguar for various pirate and mercenary groups in the Periphery. Following leads provided by the Jade Falcon Watch, they found the warrior engaged in a duel with two pirate Ghost BattleMechs, which the mysterious MechWarrior defeated. David Pryde challenged him to a Trial of Possession for a sample of his genetic material for testing, but after winning the duel it was found that despite being named Andrew Howell, the pirate had no connection with the Jaguars.
Impressed with Howell Pryde therefore ordered, over the protests of his unit, that Howell be released and his 'Mech be repaired.[2]
Terra[edit]
In 3151, David Pryde fought with the Eye One Star, Trinary Bravo of the Ninth Talon in the Battle of Terra, participating in the fighting near Olympus Mons on Mars on 31 January. His 'Mech was hit and fell in the initial charge against the Republic of the Sphere forces, but survived, and later managed to destroy a RAF Malice with a headshot with his Advanced Tactical Missiles.[1][3]

David Pryde was known to pilot an Eyrie BattleMech.[1]
