In January 3052, Jeremy Velk led the First Amori Militia in the defense of the Arisaka Munitions Complex outside the city of Amori against invading Clan Smoke Jaguar forces during the Battle of Luthien. Under Velk's training, the Amori Militia achieved a level of readiness nearly equal to some Combine front line units. When the Jaguar forces invaded, they were unprepared for such a foe and surrendered.[2][1]
