Maria Devalis was a Spirit Cats MechWarrior and Bloodnamed warrior of the Devalis Bloodhouse during the Dark Age Era.[1]
Personal Appearance[edit]
Devalis had gray hair and hazel eyes.[1]
History[edit]
A well regarded Clan Nova Cat warrior within the Republic Armed Forces, Devalis was given an offer to join the Knights of the Republic of the Sphere, but her decision to undergo a vision quest before accepting caused a major media controversy. Attacked by critics for preferencing her "superstitions" over other concerns, the offer of a knighthood was eventually withdrawn, though many including Devlin Stone decried the prejudice behind the outcry as a travesty.
Feeling her reputation was tarnished outside those identifying as Nova Cats, Devalis publicly accepted the outcome and even refused a later further offer without comment, but inwardly felt intensely humiliated. Due to this bitterness, Devalis did not find it hard to switch her allegiance to the Spirit Cats after the Blackout, becoming a member of the Purifiers.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Devalis is known to have piloted a Shadow Hawk IIC BattleMech, serial number NC3500-03C, named Luminosity. Initially entering service with Clan Nova Cat at the beginning of the Word of Blake Jihad, the 'Mech experienced combat with Delta Galaxy, including during the liberation of Benjamin in 3069, before being taken into the RAF with the rest of Delta Galaxy at the end of the Jihad.[1]
