Major General Matthew King was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XVII Corps as of 2764.[1]
History[edit]
A graduate of Yale University on Terra, with advanced degrees in economics and political science, King joined the SLDF's accelerated officer program in 2729. King had a reputation for inaction with the Federated Suns public in his area of operations, but from a military perspective, he was more fairly thought of as a strategic thinker who avoided rash actions.
Mostly remaining at his headquarters on Stratford, King did not micromanage his subordinates even where they had a different tactical style to his own, but did semi-regularly summon them to him for consultations.[1]
