History[edit]
The Stonehenge was a Mule-class DropShip operated by ComStar. It touched down in the starport of the city of Royce on Fletcher on 20 November 3067 on a supply run, on the circuit from Epsilon Indi.[1] By this time, it was noted that the vessel featured unique scarring that made visual identification easy.[2]
Two days later Fletcher was overrun by Word of Blake forces in a surprise attack. All military Com Guard DropShips were mined and destroyed by sappers with massive charges attached to their hulls, but the Stonehenge — being a civilian ship with a ComStar registry as opposed to a military vessel with a Com Guard registry — was initially overlooked. On or shortly after 24 November 3067, however, the Word of Blake forces in Royce noticed the Stonehenge for the ComStar vessel it was. A ring of BattleMech surrounded the DropShip and destroyed it with weapons fire, to prevent any surviving ComStar forces on Fletcher from making any use of the ship.[3]
The ship was reported missing after her failure to arrive on station in Errai mid December, and it was confirmed that the Stonehenge's route included a stopover in the Fletcher system.[4]
