Tai-sa Takeji Yoshizawa was the commanding officer of the Seventh Ghost Regiment and a member of the Yakuza.[1]
History[edit]
Dark Age[edit]
During the Draconis Combine invasion of the Federated Suns' Draconis March in 3144, the Seventh Ghost Regiment landed on Sakhara V. They faced the Sakhara Academy Training Battalion and lost all their infantry and a third of their 'Mech forces. After the Ghost's commander died of a heart attack, then Chu-sa Takeji stepped into the command role using VTOLs to flank the cadet force. The green Academy battalion members were routed, with only a company able to withdraw to the Academy grounds. The next day, that company was destroyed.[2][3] Yoshizawa and the Seventh Ghost subsequently remained to garrison Sakhara V through to at least December 3145.[4]
Renegade[edit]
In April 3150 Takeji would lead the Seventh Ghost Regiment in an unauthorized invasion of the Federated Suns world Emporia.[1]
Awards[edit]
Yoshizawa received the Silver Claw for his performance during the conquest of Sakhara V, recording the most kills of anyone, with a count of nine enemy BattleMechs destroyed. He was at that time also under consideration to receive a Katana Cluster, if he continued to claim as many enemy kills in his next campaign.[5]
