Sho-i William "Spike" Stern was an aerospace fighter pilot in the Third Sword of Light during the thirty-first century.[1][2]
History[edit]
Early Career[edit]
Stern, a quiet man, was early in this career when a Chu-i considered perhaps the best light fighter pilot in his unit. Almost birdlike in the air, his dogfights quickly turned into games of cat and mouse. His favorite tactic was to slip in behind heavier fighters, and then run them out of fuel in nap-of-the-earth chases, providing opportunities for his comrades to engage the remaining enemies.[1]
Late Career[edit]
After decades of service with the Third Sword of Light, by 3075 Stern had slowed down, and moved up to a heavier fighter and the rank of Sho-i. Using the greater firepower provided by the LB-X Autocannon in his new ride, he preferred the cluster rounds against lighter enemies, and slug rounds against heavier foes.[2]
Vehicle[edit]
Stern initially piloted a Sholagar light aerospace fighter.[1] Later in his career he moved up to a LTN-16O Lightning medium aerospace fighter.[2]
