The Dark Age[edit]
Zelandia Unbound was a small mercenary unit.
The unit survived the fighting after Gray Monday, when it was hired by Lyons, along Cunningham's Cutthroats to augment its defenses in August 3136 against an anticipated Clan Jade Falcon attack.
Both units were preparing defenses near the Fedkirk Badlands when everything went sideways. Reports are contradictory regarding whether Cunningham or Samir of the Zelandia fired first, but within five minutes, Samir's 'Mech was a smoking ruin and Cunningham's entire command lance had gone weapons free.
The rest of Zelandia Unbound pursued the rest of Cunningham's Cutthroats until they cornered and made Cunningham surrender.
Many have speculated about the Lyons Incident, but only three command lance members (two from Zelandia and one from the Cutthroats) survived, and none have volunteered any useful explanations.[1]
When Jenn Talcred left the unit to form her own command, Zelandia Gold, the unit was very affected, but not disbanded.
After the Lyons Incident, the unit saw significant action during the next ten years, and circa 3145 the unit was stationed on Clinton.[2]
