Manfred as a direct descendant of the legendary Colonel Charles Kincaid, the first MechWarrior. In March 3139, Manfred was the guest of honor at the Defiance Industries celebration of seven hundred years of BattleMech warfare, fighting a mock duel against George Dyson, in an Mackie. Cunningham easily won the duel, with low-powered weapons.[1]
