History
Early Life
Born in 3037, the start of Brian's career was not spectacular, fighting hard for every advancement. Amassing a solid codex, but far from a ristar, he first attracted wider notice after winning his way into a Trial of Bloodright though the Grand Melee. Barely winning at each stage, he managed to destroy his last opponent by detonating a natural gas line on Goat Path, winning his Bloodname but little honor.[1]
The Watch
Pryde's performance did however impress one observer, Loremaster Kael Pershaw, who saved Pryde from a series of inglorious assignments to join the Watch and become his chosen successor.[1] As a Star Captain in April 3068 Pryde was writing intelligence analyses for Pershaw, including in relation to the Lyran Alliance's response to the bombardment of Tharkad by the Word of Blake, and Archon Adam Steiner's attempt to retain cohesion within the Lyran Alliance Armed Forces.[2][3]
By January 3071, the now Star Colonel Pryde wrote a report to Loremaster Pershaw, informing him that he had learned by Clan Ice Hellion's arrival in the Inner Sphere from sources in Clan Hell's Horses.[4]
Mentoring Pryde in his philosophy of valuing the Clan's survival over personal honor while he worked with him in the Falcon's Watch, Pershaw's hopes for Pryde were achieved after his death in 3072, when with the Khan's agreement Brian become the Falcon's Loremaster.[1]
Loremaster
As Loremaster, Pryde stayed behind the scenes, by 3075leading both the Watch and the newly reformed Alpha Galaxy.[1] By his Khan's decree the only Bloodnamed warrior within Alpha Galaxy, his cunning ruthlessness in battle was infamous, with an unconfirmed rumor circulating that he destroyed an entire Star of enemy ProtoMechs by himself within 10 minutes.[5][6]
He also frequently casinos, including when on Kooken's Pleasure Pit's where his seemingly superhuman luck with dice made him an extremely unwelcome guest.[1]
BattleMech
Pryde was known to have initially piloted a Gargoyle OmniMech, which he used for his first Trial of Position. Later in his career, Pryde piloted a Jupiter BattleMech, while he led Alpha Galaxy.[1]
