History

The Homeworld of the Holdfast Guard is Capella. Originally a part of the pre-Confederation Tikonov Union Guards, Colonel Harrison Blandford reorganized one of its Grenadier Regiments and added it to Franco Liao's Capellan Defense Force.

In 3025, the unit is known as Blandford's Grenadiers, they were renamed sometimes in the 3050's to the Holdfast Guard after choosing to remain in service of House Scions.

During the Fourth Succession War the unit was stationed on Capella and didn't see any fighting.

From 3063 through 3065, the Guard was forced to take a much more active stand as bodyguards, often posting armed men on House floor's to protect St. Ives members. The temporary increase in responsibilities led to the formation of a second infantry regiment, currently two battalions in strength, for security measures.

- No Combat Vehicle less than 70 tons

• 1st Blandford's Defenders (Regiment/Regular/Fanatical)
• Infantry Commander: Zhong-shao Gabrielle Auks.

- Includes 1 Company of Battle Armor
