"Snake" Hickman was a Solaris VII MechWarrior best known for his piloting of a Valiant BattleMech.

"Snake" Hickman become the test pilot of the new Valiant variant created by Johnston Industries researcher Dr. Xavier White.
Thanks to the 'Mech's Actuator Enhancement System, he sliced through the leg of a hapless Locust in his first match, with his boss shouting, "like a hot knife through butter!" That ended up creating a tactic to showoff the new design: Go find the butter.[1]
