The 116th Division was one of the many Com Guard units who fought during the Battle of Tukayyid.
Contents
History
Immediately prior to the Clan Invasion the green ranked 116th Division, then a IV-omicron based formation referred to by the nickname of the Aggressive Actions, was assigned to the Twelfth Army and was based on the Draconis Combine world of Buckminster.[1]
As part of the Twelfth Army, the aggressive 116th Division would see combat against Clan Nova Cat during the [[Battle of Tukayyid] in the Losiije Lake District. Racing into the fray with near sucidal abandon, the 116th helped to retake the Com Guards captured supply depots and end that campaign with a ComStar victory while suffering almost 50% casualties, including the loss its commander. Like many Com Guard Divisions, the 116th Division chose a new nickname in response to their efforts on Tukayyid, calling itself The Aggressors, as it rebuilt as an IV-lambda formation. As of 3055 the 116th was posted to Karbala in the Free Rasalhague Republic, where it amicably served with the 2nd Kavalleri in garrison duty. During the Jihad the 116th Division was involved in the February 3072 liberation of Blakist-occupied Donegal.[7] Whether the 116th was destroyed later in the conflict or survived to be disbanded along with the rest of the post-Jihad Com Guards is unknown.
Officers
- As of 3052 the 116th was commanded by Precentor Raymond Garibaldi, who had commanded the divisions since at least 3049. [1] The maverick Garibaldi was killed during the brutal fighting on Tukayyid.[5]
- As of 3062 the 116th was commanded by Precentor Gloria Poquet, who took command of the division after Tukayyid. [4] The XO of the 116th Division during the Battle of Tukayyid, Poquet was much a maverick as her former commander and natural replacement for Raymond Garibaldi.[5]
- As of 3067, the 116th was commanded by Precentor Lucien Wulf.[8]
