History

Star League

In 2765, the Eleventh Galedon Regulars were stationed on New Samarkand. They were supported by a reinforced aerospace fighter wing, five regiments of armor, five regiments of infantry, and a regiment of artillery. Second only to the Sword of Light regiments in priority, the various Galedon Regular regiments had excellent levels of supplies, and a high level of access to new BattleMechs and equipment.[1]

Succession Wars

The Eleventh Galedon Regulars participated in the assault against the Federated Suns in 2787. They survived the horrors of the First Succession War and were posted on New Samarkand at the end of the war.[2] By the beginning of the Second Succession War in 2830 the Eleventh had managed to rebuild to roughly two-thirds of full strength, but the Eleventh was subsequently destroyed during the War.[3]

Star League Era

Due to the high number of Sun Zhang Military Academy and Galedon Military Academy recruits within the Galedon Regulars, the Regulars often displayed fanatical loyalty and courage. However, the elitism displayed by these same recruits led to poor coordination between the Regulars and the attached convention forces, who were often used as cannon fodder.[1]
