History

The 202nd Firebrand Cluster was a second line cluster stationed on Shadow in 3059,[1] and were still in position in 3067.[2]

By 3073 the Cluster was the last remnant of their Kindraa during the Wars of Reaving and had not heard from their high command for over two years. They were on Niles fighting off attacks from Clan Coyote when the Blood Spirits Alpha Galaxy landed on the planet, themselves coming under Coyote attack. The 202nd Fireband joined with the Spirits and a Trinary of Hell's Horses warriors in an attack against the industrial facilities on the Abdegan Plateau. Impressed by the prowess of the Mandrill warriors the Blood Spirit Khan offered to absorb them, an offer the warriors of the 202nd accepted. The warriors were then transferred to Zeta Galaxy.[3]

Officers

In 3059 the Commanding Officer was Star Colonel Evan Kreese,[4] and he was still in command in 3067.[1]

Tactics

Overall command of the cluster is held by the Command Fighter Binary, however ground operations are commanded by the First BattleMech Binary.

Composition History

3059

202nd Firebrand Cluster - Regular/Fanatical [4][1]

3067

In 3067 the Cluster's status had dropped to Reliable[2] and they had added a Binary of Assault-class vehicles, this replaced a BattleMech/Elemental Binary. [5]

Notes

It is not recorded if the Blood Spirits absorbed the Cluster as a whole unit or if the warriors were transferred to already existing Spirit Clusters.
