The 329th BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the LVI Corps, Nineteenth Army, to the Periphery Military Region.[2] The unit was also feared and hated by the population of New Vandenberg, who saw the commander as an interfering oppressor. The 'Mechs of the 329th were stationed around each of the planet's production centers. This placement was deliberate, to put a check on the Taurian Defense Force.
The unit had trouble working as a Division, because security concerns forced it to restrict gathering forces above the Brigade level.[1]
The 329th was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[2]
