Aleksandr Kerensky

The first and foremost Star League general who liberated Terra from the rule of the usurper Stefan Amaris. Later he lead the vast majority of the Star League Defense Force (SLDF) into the Deep Periphery.

Aleksandr attended Tharkad University, where his achievements eventually earned him a place in the Nagelring. Aleksandr Kerensky later enlisted in the army of the Star League and he climbed the ladder of promotion until becoming its highest military officer. His rapid progression through the ranks coupled with his own personal charisma and integrity earned him the respect of his troops and made him famous throughout the Star League. Of his career it is known that the specifications of the Atlas were laid down by Aleksandr Kerensky himself. He liberated Terra from the rule of Stefan Amaris, executing Amaris' family.

With disgust he saw that the feuding Successor lords would wage a war amongst themselves rather than choose a new leader of the Star league. A year later, on the 10th of October 2780, the Council Lords gathered and stripped Kerensky of his title of Protector. Ten months later, the Lords had not chosen a successor for the position of First Lord, each claiming the title and position for him or herself, and the Council was dissolved by the Lords on 12 of August 2781.

He refused a proposition by General DeChavilier to overthrow the House Lords. in 2784 seeing the signs of a eminent war he took 80% of the Star League Defense Force, composed of the most advanced BattleMechs, on an Exodus out of the Inner Sphere and into the Deep Periphery. This act completed the collapse of the feeble and moribund Star League. It was his dream that he, or most likely his children, would eventually return to rescue a devastated Inner Sphere and reunite it under a new Star League.

Upon his death, his son, Nicholas Kerensky created the Clans in a second exodus.
