Anne Sung was the commanding officer of the Second Crucis Lancers as of 3050.[2]

History[edit]

Hauptmann-General Sung, serving with the Second Crucis Lancers, was stationed on Tikonov in 3050.[2] By 3062, now-General Sung remained in command of the Second Lancers and was stationed on Timbiqui. Devoted wholeheartedly to the Davion family and the Federated Suns as a whole, Sung was also a realist and her realization that support for her unit would not be coming in the midst of growing political turmoil lead to her striking a deal between the Second Crucis Lancers and Timbiqui's Raasch Brewhaus. While this violated both AFFC and LAAF regulations, the deal (and the rumored loaning out of her troops for private security assignments) was critical for replenishing the Second Crucis' depleted coffers.[1]

Civil War[edit]

After the outbreak of the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, Sung moved the Second Crucis to Cavanaugh II where she convinced the Tenth Lyran Regulars to give up their neutrality and side with Victor Steiner-Davion's Allies.[3]

After being ordered off of Cavanaugh II by the Katherine Steiner-Davion-loyal Richard Steiner, Sung's Lancers decided to try and take the provincial capital of Bolan for the Allied cause. Relying on speed and brute force to overwhelm the First Bolan Jaegers, the Second Crucis was unpleasantly surprised to discover that the Dixie CTM had been relocated to Bolan to stop just the kind of attack they were staging. When the Second Crucis tried making a foothold on the planet on 19 September 3063 almost the entirety of the unit's third 'Mech battalion was destroyed and their landing zone was abandoned. While the Second Crucis' experience and technology allowed them to inflict a disproportionate amount of casualties on the Dixie CTM, once the Bolan Jaegers joined the battle things began to shift strongly against the Lancers. After running out of consumables and failing to attain more in a costly series of raids, Sung gave the withdrawal order on 3 October, although both the Dixie CTM and Bolan Jaegers were ravaged by the fighting and would take significant time to recover.[4]

When Clan Jade Falcon decided to take advantage of the chaotic Civil War, Victor Davion assigned Sung and her Second Crucis Lancers to help push back the attacking Falcons. On 25 August 3064 the Second Crucis Lancers attempted to fight the Falcon's Omega Galaxy on Chapultepec but were forced to withdraw four days later.[5] Sung then took her Lancers to the Falcon world of Beta VII, where they crushed the Jade Solahma Cluster.[6]
