The Avalon Borderers were a Federated Suns BattleMech brigade mostly consisting of former SLDF Regiments which joined the House Davion after the Exodus of the SLDF from the Inner Sphere.[1]

History
Founding
The unit had initially began with the 1st Avalon Borderers, however it was expanded with the addition three former SLDF regiments once belonging to the SLDF 5th and 8th Armies. The four regiments brigade had consisted of SLDF defectors which were; The 5th Hussars, 91st Heavy Assault, 2004th Battle, and the 149th Dragoon Regiments[1]. These newcomers were veterans of the Amaris Civil War and partipated in the liberation of Terra.[2]
First Succession War
The First Succession War first pitted the brigade's units against the Sun's enemies. The Second - Fourth Regiments were deployed against the Draconis Combine in the FedSun's Counteroffensive. The conflict had withered the surviving regiment's their strengths by half and had destroyed the 3rd Avalon Borderers.[1]

Notes
- The Avalon Borderers do not have any extensive information of there actions and only brief information on the background of the three SLDF units. There is virtually no information as of this time on the First or it's origin.
