History
The Avellar Guard was the closest thing to a household guard unit for the Outworlds Alliance. They were stationed on Alpheratz in 2765, which allowed them to acquire the most advanced BattleMechs the Alliance could produce. This meant that they had higher morale than other Alliance Militia units.[2]
In 3054 the Avellar Guard was split into battalion-sized (and smaller) units and deployed to Alpheratz, Lushann, Sevon, and Mitchella. Elements from each battalion were stationed at factory sites.[3]
In 3079 the Avellar Guard was stationed on Alpheratz; while Clan Snow Raven had notionally taken over responsibility for defending the Outworlds Alliance, the Guard and the other Alliance Military Command units were still performing the majority of the garrison operations within the Alliance core worlds.[4]
