History[edit]

As of 3051 Bassem Dichari was fighting for Starlight Stables and ranked 4th in Solaris Top Twenty.

Under the tutelage of Starlight Stables's chief instructor, 3048 champion Michael Romney, Dichari would reach the semifinals for three years in a row, but bad luck always went against him in the end.[1][2]

Tactics[edit]

Bassem Dichari was adept at using terrain and speed to foil his opponent's fire. At close quarters he preferred short range fire with lasers to hand-to-hand combat. He was a very good pilot with very intimate knowledge of the other major MechWarriors and their 'Mechs.[1]

'Mech[edit]

In 3051 he was piloting a Mauler[1] and would pilot it in all tournaments where he reached the semifinals. This was the same 'Mech that Romney had piloted in 3048; it was implied to have been one of the initial batch of six Mauler prototypes built by the Capellan Confederation, possibly one of two that were salvaged by Federated Suns forces on Beten Kaitos in 3023.[2]
