Overview

Cerulean Waters can trace its history back to before the rise of the Star League as a provider of bottled mineral water, with the Trethel family using their wealth and connections during the Good Years to expand into water purification technology, leading to the opening of five water purification plants on the planet before the Succession Wars. [1] [2]

An example of the scorched earth tactics practiced by all the Great Houses during the early Succession Wars, Draconis Combine special forces units destroyed all but one of the factories during the First Succession War. Like so many other companies reliant on what was then known as LosTech, by the Third Succession War Cerulean's future looked bleak as its fifth and final plant was on the verge of collapse as centuries of jury-rigging and unavailable parts reached its logical conclusion. [1] [2]

The company was saved from ruin by the rise of the New Avalon Institute of Science and the discovery of the Helm Memory Core, borrowing heavily to both repair and upgrade its last factory on Cerulean and open new two new FedSun based facilities, as well as additional plants in the Sarna March and former Lyran Commonwealth in the decades leading up to the Clan Invasion. During the same timeframe the company also began to expand into water extraction and purification across the Federated Suns under its Cerulean Aqua brand, an increasingly popular if low-end bottled water.
