System Description

The Gutara system in the Deep Periphery was one of the last confirmed places where General Aleksandr Kerensky's Exodus Fleet had been sighted before it disappeared from the Inner Sphere in Operation EXODUS.[1][2][3]

Its exact location was not specified. The Exodus Fleet, after having set out from New Samarkand on 5 November 2784, had forces planetside on Gutara V no later than 2 January 2785[4], with the last DropShips leaving the planet on 17 or 18 January again[5]; the same fleet had moved on to Epsilon Pegasus by 20 March[5]. This establishes the Gutara system to be roughly in the middle between New Samarkand and Epsilon Pegasus along the fleet's route (perhaps one or two jumps closer to the latter system).

Planetary History

Gutara V was maintained as a military base by the Rim Worlds Republic but was already in a state of decay when the Exodus Fleet visited it in January 2785 and took most if not all of their weapons and supplies.[4][5] It is unknown if or to what degree Gutara V was a viable colony world that could sustain life.
