History

The Heritage was an Overlord-class DropShip. Alongside its sister ship Loyal Son it served as a carrier for the Third Assault Avatars, a mixed battalion of heavy and assault combat vehicles with the Blue Star Irregulars' Twenty-First Rim Worlds regiment. This seems to suggest it was modified to carry vehicles instead of BattleMechs.[1]

Both vessels were slated to evacuate civilians from Black Earth in January 3069 when Clan Jade Falcon returned to retake the world. Forgoing Clan customs, the Jade Falcons specifically gunned for the fleeing DropShips and JumpShips, sending two WarShips to the nadir jump point by means of a rare in-system jump (from the pirate jump point close to the planet). While the Blue Star Irregulars' own corvette Kerensky's Blues managed to take the Vincent Mk. 42-class corvette Lightning Strike out of the fight, a Congress-class frigate pushed ast the fighter screen and opened fire on the refugee ships, civilian and Blue Star Irregulas alike.[1] (The Congress would also destroy the Kerensky's Blues.) The Blue Star Irregulars were thus destroyed.[2]

While the fate of the Heritage was not expressly mentioned, only one single JumpShip escaped the carnage. It carried the Loyal Son, which was in turn described as the only remaining ship of the Blue Star Irregulars' retreating task force.[1] This seems to establish beyond reasonable doubt that the Heritage was destroyed.
