House Kincaid was a wealthy family from Killbourn.[1]

History[edit]

Origins[edit]

The Kincaid family was a wealthy, well-connected family hailing from Killbourn, very influential in the Terran Hegemony. In the twenty-fourth century, one of his members, Elishia Kincaid had several sons, and he placed high expectations onto the eldest, Charles Kincaid. The father used all the money and influence needed to ensure his son's success. Charles succeeded, becoming a high ranking officer of the Hegemony Armed Forces, and entering on the history books as the first MechWarrior. Ironically, that also doomed him: the rush to accelerate the tests made Charles suffer brain damage due to a defective neurohelmet, which eventually made him unable to pilot. The family carefully hid that, painting it as damage suffered in combat, and House Cameron also covered it up.[2]

Oliver Kincaid piloted his family's famed Archer which he nicknamed Agincourt. In one of his final requests before his death in 3023, he bequeathed it to Nikolai Mason's son Jake, feeling that he owed Nikolai a debt for saving his life. Unfortunately, the BattleMech became the center of a disagreement between the baron's daughter Kate and his estranged son, Bowen, and required Nik's Cavaliers to assist in bringing it to a close.[4]
