History

The Katya was a DropShip of unspecified class belonging to Wilson's Hussars. During a disastrous battle on Ingersoll in 3016 where the Hussars were surrounded by a House Marik regiment, unit CO Major Michael Langstrom ordered the Katya to their rescue. Enemy fighters crippled the DropShip's altitude jets during descent, however, and it crashed right into the Hussars' position, destroying half the unit.[1]

That the loss of altitude jets would cause the Katya to crash implies that she was a spheroid design.
