The New Samarkand Regulars were created renaming the remains of the Galedon Regulars alongside the renaming of their home Military District[1].

History
The New Samarkand Regulars were formed when the Galedon Military District was renamed the New Samarkand Military District after the Jihad. The New Samarkand Regulars sent the Third Regiment to Vega in 3133 in an attempt to bring Vega into the Combine, but were repelled.[2]
