The Prince's Men were one of the sub-units of the Swordsworn, a pro-Federated Suns Republic of the Sphere splinter faction.

History[edit]

The Prince's Men were cobbled together out of disparate volunteers and mercenaries willing to fight for Aaron Sandoval's separatist movement. A force of widely varying skill and questionable loyalty, some members more interested in being on the winning side than in the pro-Davion cause, the Prince's Men struggled to work as a group and lacked finesse. They generally found themselves used for blunt numbers and brute force, where they excelled, rather than the more complicated missions Sandoval's more experienced units were suited for.[1][2] George G. Herrling, a former Sandoval family retainer, was tasked with making a cohesive unit out of the Prince's Men; by October 3133, he was still struggling.[3]

In November 3132, the Prince's Men repelled a Bannson's Raiders Band of Five raid on a Belyakov-Ourobouros scrapyard on Acamar.[4]

The unit participated momentarily in the complex 3133 clash over Irian, accomplishing little in October and November raids in the face of opposition from other splinter factions.[5]
