ClassLeviathan

The Raiden was a Leviathan-class JumpShip.

History[edit]

During the McAllister Rebellion, it was tasked with moving the 2452nd Battalion of the Fifth Galedon Regulars on Salford under Chu-sa Tokashio Hamata to Brailsford. However, the jump on 9 November 2510 failed and Raiden and its attached DropShips (at least seven Vulture-class vessels including the Hideyoshi Toyotomi) never materialized at their destination.

Unbeknownst to the rest of mankind, the Raiden had actually misjumped into the Kaetetôã system. It was wrecked in the process and had to be abandoned after a short time, but a number of its DropShips managed to land on the planet and would establish an isolated human civilization there.[1]

The stricken ship somehow arrived in a stable orbit around the planet of Kaetetôã. Almost five centuries later, when the JumpShip Telendine arrived in-system after experiencing a similar misjump, the Raiden was found still in orbit, with its solar sail deployed.
