Description

The Raptor RRV is a ultralight Tracked Support Vehicle used as a personnel carrier in Free Worlds League. Introduced in 3059, the vehicle is intended as auxiliary combat vehicle with ability aid it's troops on the field with additional cargo and support equipment. Raptor is considered to being a update version of the former FedCom's Cellco Ranger UPU-3000 law enforcement vehicle.

The Raptor was popular due to it's features in comparison to older model vehicles[2]

Weapons and Equipment

Designed with off-the-shelf civilian grade equipment, the Raptor intended low expense but hardy vehicle. The vehicle's power source is electric Fuel Cell Engine, which propels it upwards to 64 kph and has been given the range of 833 kilometers. Protecting its crew and personnel, is 1.5 tons of BAR-8 rated armor which is resistance to most small arms fire such as machine guns.

For it's primary mission as a personnel carrier, the vehicle fitted with a Infantry Compartment with a single door at the rear of the vehicle.. The compartment is capable of fitting 3 tons worth of troops and their equipment.

Not intended for frontline combat, the vehicle is armed with single Extended-Range Small Laser, which is mounted in the vehicle's turret. The weapon is fitted with a Basic Fire Control, which gives some accuracy should weapon be need in emergency situation.[2]

Notes

The Raptor RRV first appeared in Technical Readout: Vehicle Annex with no stats. The Revised edition of the publication would highlight the vehicle stats for the first time.

However, information about the vehicle Armored Chassis and control modifications is missing and there is no published Record Sheet to confirm it's presence.[2] The vehicle does have a entry on the MUL, but it does not include Battle Value or any other information aside from introduction year.

Similar Vehicles

Other corporate interests of other Great Houses have made duplicates or have similar models of the Raptor RRV.
