Description

The Semi-Portable Particle Cannon (also known as the Man-Pack Particle Cannon) is a man sized version of the 'Mech PPC. Unlike its larger cousin this weapon has no particle dispersion due to its size and power output. Normally requiring a crew of two using a Bipod mount, a single man cannot normally use the Man-Pack PPC effectively. However, it is possible with a Waldo unit that allows the wearer to maneuver the weapon like a rifle. Troopers wearing Exoskeletons or their armored cousins can carry the Man-Pack Particle Cannon in their hands. Exoskeletons and Man-Pack Particle Cannon combo was a favorite of Heavy Weapons Platoons and Special Operations Forces before the introduction of Power Armor. The Man-Pack Particle Cannon can be fired in either single shot or burst mode. There is not yet a Battle Armor mounted model.
