Description
The Shen Yi fire-support BattleMech was designed by the Capellan Confederation shortly after the Jihad. The 'Mech was produced at a time when the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces were rebuilding. The design was seen as a breakthrough in using Stealth Armored units for general combat. It was first produced by the Hellespont BattleMech Works of Sian in the early 3080s.[1] Within 15 years of its introduction, the CCAF began phasing out its older missile support elements. The Shen Yi is mostly assigned to the elite forces of the Confederation, such as the Warrior Houses.[2]

Notes
The Shen Yi was originally produced by WizKids as part of their Liao Incursion game release. Writers for WizKids gave Battletech Stats for the 'Mech, but it did not get a record sheet until the release of Technical Readout 3085 and its Record Sheet book. The Shen Yi's LRM variant (which appeared in WizKids' dossiers first) has yet to receive canon record sheet as of this writing.
