FM:SLDF commands[edit]

Just FYI: I put an Update Needed on the Category: Star League Defense Force commands talk page so we wouldn't have all 900+ SLDF commands appearing in the Updates Needed listing.--Mbear(talk) 11:54, 4 January 2016 (PST)

I understand. Its just that i've seen many of the units updated, but others not. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 20:25, 4 January 2016 (PST)
No problem. I was going to start on the SLDF units after I got the rest of the Updates Needed list down to ~600, but that plan has since gone up in smoke. ;) --Mbear(talk) 06:40, 5 January 2016 (PST)
So now I've decided to get the SLDF commands out of the way. Hopefully I'll be able to get them all done in a reasonable amount of time.--Mbear(talk) 05:33, 13 January 2016 (PST)
Understood. Good luck! ClanWolverine101 (talk) 15:23, 13 January 2016 (PST)

Sarah Steiner[edit]

Sarah Steiner is one of those minor characters who keeps being referenced in passing. I decided she needed an article. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 10:35, 28 January 2016 (PST)

Battle of Morges (3054)[edit]

Battle of Morges (3054) is up. Why an article about such a minor battle? Well, it appears in the notes. There's a ton of confusion about when it happened and even who fought in it, so i hoped this would makes things more clear. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 09:19, 2 February 2016 (PST)

I've just read through the article and made a few tweaks - it's an interesting piece, particularly given the confusion in canon over what happened, when, and to whom - and I particularly like the clear and concise list of conflicting detail and sources in the notes section, which is one of the things I think Sarna can be really good at capturing. Most of the tweaks I made were minor grammatical niggles or where you typed one word while thinking of another, but I added in some references for the future battles and clarified the section on the Refusal War battle, which reminded me that some of the other articles relating to it could do with some work. But then, when isn't there something on Sarna that could do with clarification/expansion?
Anyway, I think the article is a useful addition to Sarna, so I'd like to give you this substantial addition award:
Substantial Addition Award, 1st ribbon
I'd also like to ask that you copy/link to the article in various other articles on Sarna to help disseminate the information - the Morges planet article, the Fourth Skye Rangers article, etc. Particularly the Morges article - sooner or later, I'm going to reach Morges as a part of the Project: Planets overhaul, and lots of little details from the battle article like the name of the mountain Jaime Wolf was observing the battle from, the name of the capital city and the like are exactly the sort of details that help flesh out a proper planet article and help writers using Sarna for reference to stay consistent. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 02:55, 3 February 2016 (PST)
With respect to to the copying, i've actually linked it in most of the articles that referred to it at all, though i haven't done this with Morges itself, yet. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 21:23, 3 February 2016 (PST)
I always feel the need to stick up for the planets articles - they always seem to be the ones left out when it comes to linking detail in Wink.gif BrokenMnemonic (talk) 23:36, 3 February 2016 (PST)
Oh, i get that. But Morges is starting almost from the ground up. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 10:25, 4 February 2016 (PST)

Tara Lucas[edit]

I have rewritten my Tara Lucas article. The original had some major mistakes due to my misunderstandings confusing her with the original Tara Lucas. (Her grandmother.) Please give it a look at your convenience. Thanks. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 21:17, 18 February 2016 (PST)

Hi, any idea how i can found a pic. of Tara Lucas, iam on travel and have only my pdf's with me!--Doneve (talk) 00:06, 19 February 2016 (PST)
Thanks! I don't think they ever made one unfortunately. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 22:27, 19 February 2016 (PST)

Esau Olivares[edit]

Esau Olivares is up. I love these recurring characters. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 19:49, 10 March 2016 (PST)

It's always lighting up my day, seeing a fine new CW article about an interesting side character. :) Good Article Award, 5th ribbon Frabby (talk) 01:06, 11 March 2016 (PST)
Great article, is there any chance you write for BattleCorps.--Doneve (talk) 21:07, 11 March 2016 (PST)
I don't, but that would be an amazing opportunity. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 18:10, 12 March 2016 (PST)

Hi CW,

I just rolled back your edit on the Beneficence article because in the context, it's more accurate to say that Victor's forces had to retreat under fire than simply to retreat - they were in constant contact with the Loyalist forces on the ground according to the FedCom Civil War sourcebook, with the Fifth Crucis Lancers in battle or being harried at every step because of their slow attached conventional forces, and the evacuation zone for the Allied forces had to move 500 km while they were all retreating because of the number and position of enemy units engaging them. That's very different to them simply retreating, IMO - there are a fair number of planetary occupations where a bigger task force shows up and the occupiers retreat, but this was Victor's forces trying to avoid being wiped out on the ground with the spectre of orbital bombardment hanging over them as they were fighting. There's a difference between evacuating a compound or fortification before you get attacked, and having to try and retreat and board exit vessels while actively being attacked, harried and pursued. I hope that makes sense? BrokenMnemonic (talk) 23:45, 5 April 2016 (PDT)

I don't disagree with that. My concern when i read that was that the grammar was confusing? ClanWolverine101 (talk) 07:58, 6 April 2016 (PDT)

Epsilon Regiment (Wolf's Dragoons)[edit]

Epsilon Regiment (Wolf's Dragoons) has been re-written. I want people to know i accepted the critique from BobTheZombie that my Beta Regiment article (posted back in 2013), to heart. As such, this article is about 40 percent shorter, where i trimmed and summarized a lot of redundant material. I feel the end product is superior, and hope others will find it so. At some point, i will go back and perform the needed revisions to Beta Regiment and the other Dragoon articles. But please give Epsilon a look and let me know. Thank you. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 12:57, 16 April 2016 (PDT)

Great article and certainly deserves a reward Substantial Addition Award, 2nd ribbon Dark Jaguar (talk) 02:03, 17 April 2016 (PDT)

I just saw your message and I'll come and look at the article once I get my housekeeping stuff done (I've been gone too long). I'm hoping to be around a lot more regularly as I re-prioritize things in life. It's nice to be back, and I hope to see both you guys around more :) -BobTheZombie (talk) 12:12, 28 May 2016 (PDT)
Welcome back, Zombie! ClanWolverine101 (talk) 15:13, 28 May 2016 (PDT)

Your new redirect has created a circular redirect as both pages now point to each other. I thought I'd let you know and not just change things in case you wondered why I was changing your edits. Dark Jaguar (talk) 15:14, 24 April 2016 (PDT)

Nadia Winson[edit]

Nadia Winson is up for your approval. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 23:48, 20 May 2016 (PDT)

Quick question as I am slightly confused, in the notes section you have her as being a member of House Ward. Is that correct? Surely her bloodhouse is Winson or is this a reference to her earlier linage? Dark Jaguar (talk) 02:48, 28 May 2016 (PDT)
Good call. It was a typo. Fixed! ClanWolverine101 (talk) 15:05, 28 May 2016 (PDT)

Jade Falcon units and Mercenaries Supplemental Update[edit]

I'm looking at updating the 1st Falcon Velites, 2nd Falcon Jaegers, Mu Galaxy (CJF), and Rho Galaxy (CJF) articles. The page history shows you added the Update needed with mercenaries supplemental update, but I'll be dipped if I can find any reference to those units in there. Do you have page numbers I can use?

Thanks! --Mbear(talk) 10:06, 1 June 2016 (PDT)

Replied. Thanks! ClanWolverine101 (talk)
OK. Well, since they aren't named in the MSU, I'm going to remove that UN tag.--Mbear(talk) 07:15, 6 June 2016 (PDT)
Actually because I'm an idiot, I will update the articles and then remove the tag.--Mbear(talk) 07:31, 6 June 2016 (PDT)
I don't think you're an idiot, Mbear. :D ClanWolverine101 (talk) 15:56, 7 June 2016 (PDT)

Kappa Battalion (Wolf's Dragoons)[edit]

Kappa Battalion (Wolf's Dragoons) is up. I went back to Wolf Pack for this one. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 18:04, 4 June 2016 (PDT)

Nice write style, i hope when you found time you can catch your eye on the Jeannete Rand article, he needs some write up, cheers.--Doneve (talk) 18:28, 4 June 2016 (PDT)
A re-write of Jenette Rand is definitely on my list, especially since i wrote the original. (I'm not happy with it.) ClanWolverine101 (talk) 18:50, 4 June 2016 (PDT)

Lara Ward[edit]

Lara Ward is up for your approval. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 17:06, 23 June 2016 (PDT)

How can I help out? I have joined recently have wrote 2 Articles so far. I am wanting help on the Project. Is this goal to get all characters wrote up? I have access to most of the classic line, some of the Mechwarrior run, as well as some of the Mechwarrior: Dark Age. ClanJF74017 (talk) 14:39, 27 June 2016 (PDT)

Good to have you onboard! What articles have you posted? ClanWolverine101 (talk) 16:58, 27 June 2016 (PDT)
Two Articles so far: Angela Bekker and Nega Garrison Cluster (Clan Jade Falcon)ClanJF74017 (talk) 17:08, 27 June 2016 (PDT)
Good start! Question - is Angela Bekker mentioned in any other books? If so, you should use those. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 17:12, 27 June 2016 (PDT)
As far as I have found she is not. She was a centerpeice of that novel. It was a novel, I really liked so I decided to start with her. ClanJF74017 (talk) 17:47, 27 June 2016 (PDT)
That's a good place to start! I would keep choosing characters who interest you, then expand outwards. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 19:07, 27 June 2016 (PDT)

New Belt Pirates[edit]

Know what i rarely write about? ARRRR, MATEY! Give the New Belt Pirates a read. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 18:43, 12 July 2016 (PDT)

Interesting article. I'm a little surprised that the New Belt Pirates have never really been fleshed out in short stories via BattleCorps, as it would seem to be fertile ground for a few good stories. The information on Star's End is a bit of a mish-mash with a few contradictions, though - after all, your article cites the Belt Pirates as being a pox on those around them going back to the time of the Reunification War, but at the height of the Star League Star's End was a secure enough location that Simon Cameron went on a tour of the mining facilities in the system... although I suppose it's entirely possible that the pirates were based elsewhere at the time, and then moved into the system after the Republic (and the mining industry) collapsed.
Could you possibly add the pirate forces referenced in the article's composition section to the military deployments section of the Star's End system, along with the citations you've used? When I get to the system during my planets work I'll need to break the section out to show the distinction between the regular garrisons assigned to the system, and the pirates lurking in the fringes.
Either way, a nice update - worth one of these, I think: Substantial Addition Award, 3rd ribbon BrokenMnemonic (talk) 00:39, 13 July 2016 (PDT)
It gets worse. The Price of Conviction implies that the main planetoid - where the pirates were based - didn't have its own atmosphere. How the heck does unarmored infantry operate in that??? :P But thanks! ClanWolverine101 (talk) 20:56, 14 July 2016 (PDT)

Hans Vordel[edit]

Hans Vordel is up. Another minor Dragoon character. 10:23, 9 October 2016 (PDT)
