Template:InfoBoxStateUnit The Sirdar Capellan March Militia is responsible for defending the Sirdar PDZ, which contains one of the largest Federated Suns salients into Capellan Confederation space.

History

The Sirdar CMM has fought the CCAF many times in its history. In fact between 2962 and 3062 they fought the CCAF no less than sixty two times. The unit had been rebuilt five times by 3062.[1] Unlike many forces intended for defense, the Sirdar CMM has taken the fight to their enemies on several occasions. In 3011, the Sirdar CMM raided the planet Thomas in the Capellan Confederation. They unexpectedly encountered St. Cyr’s Grenadiers, who drove off the Davion invaders. [2]

As of 3025, they were based on their homeworld of Sirdar.[3]

During the FedCom Civil War the Sirdar CMM was loyal to Katherine Steiner-Davion. From their position on Sirdar they could easily cut supply lines used by Victor Steiner-Davion, so Sirdar was invaded by the 2nd Davion Guards, 21st Illician Lancers, and 4th Illician Lancers.[4] In the first fifteen days of fighting the Allied forces had destroyed a third of the Sirdar CMM. Other Allied and Loyalist commands dropped on the world to reinforce their respective sides, but by the time the fighting ended in 3063 the unit had been destroyed for the sixth time in its history.[5] The unit spent the rest of the FedCom Civil War rebuilding, and by 3067 was back in the field as an effective command[6], but at one third of their original strength.[7]

Officers

As of 3025 the commanding officer was Major General Latrell Greigg.[3]

Between 3050 and 3062 the commanding officer was Leftenant General Russel Ito.[8][9][1]

As of 3067 the commanding officer was Major GeneralRomulo Armstrong.[7]

As of 3085 the commanding officer is Leftenant General Evan Scaglione.[10]

Tactics

As a militia formation the command is best at defensive engagements. In the past were the mech unit used to make probing raids against the CCAF.[1]
