Skye Pleasure Craft Ltd original was civilian manufacturer of water craft ranging from ferries, pleasure yachts and other small water-borne vessels in then Lyran Commonwealth. The company enter the military market in 2867 when the New Glasgow Yacht Club contracted the company build twelve military grade hydrofoils for their Naval based Skye Militia detachment, the 348th Reserve Detachment.[1][2] After Sea Skimmer's performance against Draconis Combine raid against Skye, the company's sales for craft blossom.
By 3067, the company had expanded into the interstellar trade of manufacturing military and civilian water-borne vessels of all sizes.[1]
