The Solaris Civic Council is the Solaris VII office responsible for ensuring that the Solaris Games are run fairly.[1]
Operations
As part of their operations, the Solaris Civic Council ensures that:
- A gladiator has a dueling license, depending on the arena class they want to fight in, can cost between 5,000 to 50,000 C-bills (a waiver can be obtained instead for each individual fight, but at double the cost).
- There is no cheating in the matches. The Council checks and reports MechWarriors and matches trying to find if they have been fixed. There is a service to help those warriors that denounce these acts, and they are protected (in theory) if they denounce the problem.
- They also ensure the health of the MechWarriors, running analyses on them (several test to check there is no tampering against them; or tampering to help them). These controls are run at random.
