Ling-Temco-Vought[edit]

The old Dictionary article lists LTV as "Ling-Temco-Vought" but doesn't cite a reference. I never heard that name before, and only ever knew LTV as LTV. So what's the source please? Frabby (talk) 12:42, 14 October 2019 (EDT)

There is a chance that it is not canon at all and at some point somebody has mixed the [real LTV] into the article alongside Consolidated, Ford, GM and Nissan who are real world manufacturers of engines or aircraft.--Dmon (talk) 17:08, 14 October 2019 (EDT)
I got the name from that page, it was a surprise for me too, but there is so much lore I do not known that I just created the pages and made the link. Indeed, most of the dictionary does not have references at all.--Pserratv (talk) 03:49, 15 October 2019 (EDT)
The writeup for the LTV-4 Hover Tank in XTRO Primitives 2 says the LTV line of fusion engines is a key part of the legacy of Harrison Lucas, head of Lucas Technologies. I don't know if Ling-Temco-Vought is mentioned somewhere else in canon sources, or if somebody foolishly assumed that BattleTech is set in the real world. Assaultdoor (talk) 12:48, 21 April 2022 (EDT)
