Talk:Theodor Logan

Question

Okay... anyone else think this is a reference to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure? Do we need to Ask the Writers? ClanWolverine101 (talk) 13:37, 14 February 2013 (PST)

I seem to recall discussions about that when the book was first release in the general side of the BT forums. Cyc (talk) 16:15, 14 February 2013 (PST)
Star Adders had a CLS Admiral William S. Preston, so I'm sure of it. :) --Rebs (talk) 22:37, 14 February 2013 (PST)
CLS? BrokenMnemonic (talk) 01:23, 15 February 2013 (PST)
Now you know why I'm happy someone else wanted to to do separate ship articles. CSA, of course. I'm an American Civil War buff, so CSA is maybe too closely associated with something else for me to get fully past that late at night or some story like that... Great job with the articles so far. This is a great undertaking that you knew was going to be huge. And that goes for Doneve and everyone else on board as well. --Rebs (talk) 10:20, 15 February 2013 (PST)
I've actually started building up a record of ship service prefixes, because after chatting with Frabby, I realised that I had no idea where a lot of the ones in use here came from. I've already discovered that the one quoted commonly on Sarna for Clan Cloud Cobra - CCV - is wrong, at least according to Wars of Reaving, which gives details of ships like the CCS Inquisitor and CCS Incense. I've started building up a list here: User:BrokenMnemonic/Ship Prefixes - I've not looked very hard yet, but I'll be adding service prefixes as I find them. It already means that I've found one duplicate, though - CCS is used by Clan Cloud Cobra and the Capellan Confederation. So, if CLS was a legitimate prefix, based off your comment I'd be hunting for a reference to back it up Smiley.gif BrokenMnemonic (talk) 11:29, 15 February 2013 (PST)
CCS is also Clan Coyote Ship, as I discovered when I did the Clan Coyote Bios. I thought then about the implications you are dealing in above. Then and now it's an unenviable labor, though I'll throw in history for Clan stuff if you guys don't mind. --Rebs (talk) 12:38, 15 February 2013 (PST)
It's actually kind of quietly satisfying, adding more detail on individual ships and making it possible to record information that wasn't stored here before. Although I may regret saying that after a few hundred more ships! I have no issues with you adding more history to the ship articles - far from it, in fact. At the moment, for the Homeworld Clans I'm flitting back and forth between Op Klondike, the two Clan Field Manuals, Field Manual: Updates and Wars of Reaving. If it's not in those, the chances of me finding it and updating it at the moment are pretty low - so many books, so little time... BrokenMnemonic (talk) 12:52, 15 February 2013 (PST)
Well, those are the same sources I know. Anything you guys do can always benefit me and aid research for the bios. I've used lots of ship names with prefix letters in my articles, usually only the first mention, but that is all that is needed anyway, right? I'll have to unitalicize a few too, but no big deal. After the Vipers I was going to go back and add Rules sections where a chracter has them, an image, or a quote, or other little things to tighten them up, as well as a proofing of style and whatnot. Links for your articles will be easy to add as well. And touching up the histories so that all the major events are there, and the minor ones too.--Rebs (talk) 13:03, 15 February 2013 (PST)
