MechWarrior V link inclusion
: Hello, Livewire. I am reasonably sure that if the character is canon (I don't have #12 yet), they will be added in some fashion. However, if you want to prime the pump a bit, and are not familiar with wikis, I'd recommend opening a similar character (maybe from an earlier Guide) and starting an article named Rebecca Taylor, copying all the stuff (text & code) over into the new article, changing everything that doesn't pertain and adding what is needed. Some other Editor will be sure to follow behind and correct any mistakes or add needed info. Good luck, and I'll be looking for the article (and the Guide).--Revanche (talk|contribs) 21:21, 12 May 2021 (EDT)

Hi Nic, I've been wondering: Is it technically possible to link changes made by an unregistered IP to a given user? This would obviously require bureaucrat or at least admin level privileges to avoid abuse, but it is possible?

The reason I'm asking is a new but prolific user who forgot to log in occasionally, creating a series of edits that registered under his IP but not his registered user name. I was wondering if I could (and should) somehow edit the edit logs to link the edits to his user account instead of that IP adress. Is that even desirable? == Potential issue in File:Götterdämmerung (system) 3151.svg ==

: Frabby, I've looked into this a bit, but I haven't found any way of doing this.  If you can find a MediaWiki extension that might help out, we can take a look.  I think it would be a good option to have -- there may be some users who forget to log in, and would like the "credit" for their edits later. Hi Nik,

Problem with Categories
+
While reviwing images without category, I found out this one File:Götterdämmerung (system) 3151.svg, which had no category nor information unlike the rest. I remember you have the "macro" that creates them and prepares them and adds a category because I asked this to help clean the "Uncategorized Files" page. No idea why this one got nuts. I added the information. Maybe it is because of the nice german spelling, but it is not the only planet like this. Hope you can review and thanks in advance!--Pserratv (talk) 08:23, 5 November 2021 (EDT)
Hi Nic, can you take a look at the article for the DropShip Stonehenge please. The article has category links for three categories, all of which are duly listed at the bottom of the article. Problem is, the article doesn't appear in any of the categories when you click on them. Problem with the latest update perhaps? (The article was written after the update.) : Perfect thanks!  I had to hand-upload that file, because the umlaut caused issues with the initial batch.  I think the rest were OK.  Appreciate you added the category! Nicjansma (talk) 21:07, 8 November 2021 (EST)
:I've also noticed that with the planets articles, the categories generated by the Planets Project header template aren't changing when the article phase changes - articles updated from phase 2 to phase 5 are still displaying as being in the phase 2 category listing. ::As far as the Stonehenge is concerned, it does now show up in its categories. I guess the categories don't update immediately, but rather once a day or so? Frabby (talk) 07:50, 19 January 2017 (EST)

:::This may have been broken for a while, but I believe it's working now.  I've tested it with a few categories.  Please note, it may take up to 1 minute for a new or updated article to get added to a Category page.  BrokenMnemonic, I've also checked a few Planets updates and they look correct now.  Please let me know if you see any issues. Dear nicjansma,

I have noticed that multiple drop ship articles have  redirected me to a page titled "internal error" the page dropship did not redirect, but the page template: drop ship did. This situation has led me to believe that the internal error is from the drop ship template. Pleas  fix this.
