Hi Nic, I've been wondering: Is it technically possible to link changes made by an unregistered IP to a given user? This would obviously require bureaucrat or at least admin level privileges to avoid abuse, but it is possible?

The reason I'm asking is a new but prolific user who forgot to log in occasionally, creating a series of edits that registered under his IP but not his registered user name. I was wondering if I could (and should) somehow edit the edit logs to link the edits to his user account instead of that IP adress. Is that even desirable? Production year links in infobox/Semantic wiki

(copy from BrokenMnemonics talk page)

Hi BM, When you found time, please take a look on the BattleMech Timetable, Combat Vehicle Timetable, when i go to the year link in the infobox as example Templar it brings me to the site but the 'mech or vehicle is not listed in the table, why who is the failur!?--Doneve (talk) 10:27, 10 May 2016 (PDT)

Hi Doneve, I don't understand how the semantic mediawiki stuff works, I'm afraid. I've had a look, and I've tried tweaking the Templar file, but I can't see why the code isn't working. I had a look at the WarShip Timetable page, which I know was working, and it's now not working either. I can't see any differences between the article pages that've made it onto the list and those that haven't. This might be a question for Nic, as he installed the mediawiki stuff, unless there's someone else who understands it? I don't know enough to work out what's going on.--BrokenMnemonic

Nic please can you look inside why the Timetables dont work, thanks.--Doneve (talk) 01:43, 11 May 2016 (PDT)
After trying a few edits of the templates (which I rolled back both), I found the BattleMech Timetable page was working again. I then found a [script https://www.semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:RebuildData.php] that helps rebuild the SM data, and all 3 pages look correct now. Nicjansma (talk) 06:48, 25 May 2016 (PDT)

Image summary template

Hi Nic, why is the image summary template gone when i uploade new images? In the past the template was automatical shown on the uploade page!--Doneve (talk) 04:29, 17 June 2016 (PDT)

I've noticed this as well; I originally thought it was only removed from the "upload new version" option but it seems that all forms of file uploading do that now. -BobTheZombie (talk) 13:00, 17 June 2016 (PDT)

Linking/Merging IPs to users
