Walter Scully was the commanding officer of the First Argyle Lancers as of 3062.[1]

Colonel Scully, serving with the First Argyle Lancers, was stationed on Crimond in 3062. Although a native Lyran, Scully graduated from the Sakhara Academy as an exchange student and spent most of his career within the Federated Suns, making him a strong member of the pro-Victor camp. A master strategist, Scully's ideas were mostly ignored by his superiors in the Lyran Alliance Armed Forces and, once his true loyalties were realized, he and his unit were quickly abandoned by the Lyran high command.[1]
Civil War[edit]
Still stationed on Crimond by the first wave of the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, Scully's regiment was assaulted by the arriving Third Donegal Guards on 7 May 3063. Although Scully ingeniously utilized his prepared defenses (including a large amount of landmines) to wage several weeks of resistance, eventually the larger Third Donegal forced the First Argyle into the kind of direct battle it had no chance of surviving. Although his final order sent several 'Mech companies to hide in Crimond's wilderness, Scully's regiment was officially destroyed during the fighting on Crimond.[2]
